Ode to Thursdays

Thursday has always been my favourite day of the week (well, apart from the obvious delight that is 6pm, Friday). Maybe it's because when I first started work, I was paid on Thursdays.

These days, maybe it's because the working week is nearly over, but I'm still in the productive groove of things; I work a 'short' day - until 3pm - anyway; the Green Guide is published; I don't have schlep children to sports training; and generally, people have lost their early-in-the-week grumpiness.

Or maybe it's just because the ABC is finally screening the sublime second (and final) series of Life on Mars.
