Work hazards

The working day is fraught with challenges.

Like dealing with people pushing to get on the train while you're still trying to get off.

Or not being able to select the floor you need in the lift because you can't find your building pass in your handbag.

Or finding that your tights are falling down around your knees while you walk down Collins Street...

Ah yes, I have fond memories of good old Collins street when EPA was based in the Olderfleet buildings. Walking past the vomit and wee infested alleys and then having my skirt blown up above my head from the peculiarly mean winds that seemed to thrive on Collins.

are you talking stay-ups? i hobbled along collins st one morning clutching at my left thigh, trying to keep my hosiery up. and encountered an ex-beau on the way whom i'm sure just smiled in a friendly way but it felt like he (or maybe the gods) were laughing at me. ugh.

Nope Amelia - opaque tights I'm afraid. And, like a fool, I forgot to throw them out when I returned home. I discovered I was wearing them again about a week later just I was rushing out of the house, late again. With no hope of finding another pair in the spare two seconds I had, I just threw on another pair of knickers, over the top of the offending tights. They still tried to struggle down, but I foiled their evil plan!
